.mp4 movie won't sync to my iPod Touch

That's basically it. "Sync movies" is checked, the other movies sync but not this one. It's a file I converted, but it's in .mp4 format, so why won't it work? I've tried dragging it manually into the iPod without success. I've restored the iPod too.

I thought mp4 and mpeg4 were the same.... guess not.

Um... I'm really under the impression that mp4 and mpeg4 are the same...
check this out, screen shot of the movie my iPod won't accept...

1. MP4 and MPEG-4 are, in fact, the same thing.

2. Like other codecs, MPEG has variables including video bitrate, video size, audio bitrate and so on. Thus, even when a file has the extension that should allow it to work, iTunes may not recognize it if it doesn't meet expected specs in some way.

3. Consequently, a converter program with iPod presents is your best bet for success. iTunes itself can usually do this.
