I don't have an Apple TV so cannot test this idea myself.

Lets say I got an Apple TV and gave it access to a video playlist (or just all the videos on a Mac's iTunes library).

Can you set it to shuffle and/or repeat video in any way, so that it could play a series of 5 videis all day rather than getting to the end of the playlist and then stopping?

I'm hoping someone might have an answer to this. I'm looking for the same thing..

I've created a video playlist, but the playlist does not show on my AppleTV so I'm unable to watch multiple movies straight through, one after another.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated! :)

On my Apple TV Mk. 1 I have tried the Playlists feature - without success.

It would be nice when viewing music videos to run them together though..
Surely there must be a way !?

Agreed! Something tells me that, as of this moment, its not possible. I'm far from the expert, but through all my efforts I haven't found a way. I would also think that, with the community being as large as it is, someone else would have come up with a way by now. I'm just hoping that this is something in the making and Apple releases an update for it. Not sure if its a limitation of AppleTV, iOS, iTunes, or all three

1.Connect the Apple Tv to your iTunes library as the main library not as a shared library.
2.In iTunes create a normal playlist.
3.Drag your video into the playlist.
4.Now sync the Apple TV so the playlist transfers.
5.In the Apple TV’s Settings menu select Audio and Video.
6.In Audio and Video settings make sure that “Show playlist” is set to “All”
7.Now go to Movies and My Movies
8.You will see something that says playlist once selected you should see the playlist you transferred.
9.The movie will loop

I forgot one step in between steps 5 and 6

- Turn On repeat music at the top of Audio and Video menu
