Tiger install is hanging

I am trying to install Tiger to a Dual 1.8 G5 that is currently running 10.3.9 Every time I try to install I get the same issue, My system hangs at the white/logo screen. I have (4) 256 sticks for memory so no problem with insufficient memory. The only thing i can think of is maybe I need a firmware upgrade or maybe there is a compatibility issue with the memory. I even installed the OS on the harddrive from my Dual 2. G5 then swapping drives and it still will not start. any thoughts? Thanks

Closer than you think.
Your Mac's Specs
Performa 6116 2GBSCSI 8MB OS 7.5.3
Remove all the RAM that didn't ship with you Mac. Then try again.

Re-Install the RAM after the upgrade.
