i have a friend with a 2008 aluminum macbook. it has been taken care of and nothing has ever been spilled on it. lately the touchpad will randomly not click for several clicks. you can press and hear the normal clicking noise, but it just doesn't register as a click. like i said, it seems to be random, and does it for a couple clicks at a time and then works again.
i reset the pram and pmu and have everything updated (it's running the snow leopard). i've tried to clean out around the edges as well. anyone have any ideas what's going on before it needs to be taken to the genius bar?
