Can I run Safari 5.0.3 in 32 bit mode on OS X 10.5.8?

Can I run Safari 5.0.3 in 32 bit mode on OS X 10.5.8? I know how to do it in 10.6, but I don't have it. Is it worth upgrading??
If so, how can I?
I've been reading that people are able to print coupons if they run Safari in 32 bit mode instead of 64.
