Which IM network do you use when you IM/Chat/Video Chat with people? Not the IM client, but which networks do you use the most?

Voted. I have used Face Time a couple of times in the past few months, but that's it. I haven't online "chatted" via IM for years. Lost interest.

Skype has been around for a couple of time now, so that's the one that is most used by my friends and me...hopefully more people will switch to Face Time that in my opinion is faster and better to use

The network I have used the longest and still use today is AIM from former owner AOL. 2nd is probably Yahoo and then GoogleTalk. Have the most friends probably on AIM and GoogleTalk but 2 or 3 close friends still use Yahoo.

Still AIM and Google Plus but Yahoo also for one close friend. Really old thread though. I remember taking the poll way back.

I use MSN, Facebook IM, Google Talk and Skype because my contacts are scattered throughout different systems. The Trillian IM client allows you to log into all of these, bar Skype which is coming soon on the Mac version. However, I find Facebook the most popular as nearly everybody I know is on there despite what other networks they are on.

However, I use skype, Google Talk and Facetime everyday.

For me, Facebook has nailed it. Everybody's there and to stay in contact I had to leave ICQ :D

I became a full time Mac user about a month ago, and up until that time, I was using Trillian Astra on my windows machine. I really liked having one client that would connect with multiple services, which Trillian did flawlessly. On OS X, I've found that Adium is pretty close. It will connect to all the major clients and so far has been very stable. :)

I use Skype, mostly to chat with Touko Lumina and a few of my IRL friends.
Rarely, I use FaceTime, because most people I know, have an iPhone ^^

I live in China, so I mostly use WeChat. It is a great app for the phone, unfortunately the app for mac sucks, as you have to use your phone to log in, and it, unlike the iOS app, does not have translation built in. But most of the other IM apps require a VPN, which I have, but is a pain in the *** to use constantly.

I use Facebook messenger sometimes to chat back home. Skype to call mom, because for some reason FaceTime can't ever seem to get the job done.
