I've been trying to use the sudo command in terminal and everytime I try it, it goes through the standard warning and brings up the prompt to enter my password and then terminal freezes and wont let me enter any text. I'm running v10.6.7.

so you enter your password, hit enter and never get a prompt? I ask because password won't echo anything.
