Hello everyone,

I am trying to help a friend with her website. She created her website using iWeb. She wants to use that website on her new website using her own domain name and hosting service on Go Daddy.

Can I take her iWeb files and transfer them to her new hosting service? Or, is iWeb its own platform that can't be used anywhere else but on iWeb.

Thank you for your help.

iWeb is only the design application. Shouldn't matter which host she chooses. Though it can be hosted on Mobile Me, I'm hosting several sites built with iWeb on my own MacMini completely unrelated to Apple/Mobile Me.

Yes, that's not a problem.

All she has to do is choose 'Publish to Folder' from iWeb's File menu. The files created can simply be uploaded to her new host via an FTP program (Cyberduck is good).

Simples!
