I use a Mac Mini operating OSX 10.6.7. For no apparent reason about 40% of my emails are being delivered into a Spam Folder. How can I stop this happening and how can I retrieve these emails ?
Thanks for any help,
Carol

I've moved your post to a more proper forum; please be sure to check the forum descriptions in the future to find the best place to post.

By posting in the right forum you help people not only find your question faster, but it helps others looking for the same information in the future.

You need to train Mail. Right click on the message in question (or you can highlight multiple emails), right click and select Mark - As not Junk Mail. You can do the same from the Menu bar under Message - Mark - As Not....

Once you've done that, just drag the messages to your Inbox. Mail should learn to put these in your Inbox once you've told it they're not junk.

If it's not, then you need to log into the website portal of your email provider, whether that's gmail or whomever and do the same there.

Please could you tell me where you have moved my message to ?
Also when I right click on the messages it does not come up as Mark - move to, I get Open link etc.

So, in other words, you're not using the Mail application, you're using your web browser to view your email online?

If that's the case, as I stated above, you're going to have to use whatever options your email provider has supplied. We can't know what that happens to be unless you tell us who that provider is, whether it's gmail, yahoo, aol, roadrunner or whomever and then there is someone here that is also using that same email provider.

You need to right click on the highlighted message in the top pane - not in the body of the message in the bottom pane.

If you can't do it that way, highlight the message in the top pane and then go to the Menu bar - Message - Mark - and select As not junk mail.
