ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS hangs on color overlay

can anyone help me?

when i open photoshop CS and i treat a graphic with a color overlay or dropw shadow or any of those treatments, it hangs. all of a sudden my cursor turns into the hand and i can't save or move anything. i end up having to force quit. is there a way i can stop this from happening? why is this happening? is this the new CS system or is it tiger?

any help would be appreciated!

Hmmm....I dont have any issues like that. Photoshop CS & CS2 work flawlessly in Tiger for me. Check your scratch disk settings in PHotoshop. If thats not set up correctly, it may be causing the issues you're having.

Also, what system are you using CS on? Your PM G5 or PB G4? Could also be a lack of memory or processing speed. Not too sure. Just trying to throw some things out there for you to look into.
