Need help!!! Cables necessary to connect macpro to hdtv

Hi everyone, I have a Macpro since 2009 and I'm dying to connect it to my LG 22'' HDTV. I've tried to read about the cables but there are so many (vga, dvi, hdmi etc...) that I don't really understand.

Can someone please tell me the exact cable I need to buy in order to connect the two of them without problems????

You need a mini-dp > hdmi as such...

that will get you video.. you'll need to pass audio on another connection. You can opt for convertors that will connect to the mini-dp AND USB that will transmit both on an hdmi cable.

Thank you Mike. But what about the audio. I just read the description of the cable in the link you provided, but it said it didn't support audio. I would like to connect it to watch movies and series because I don't have cable

I edited my post to show the adapter with audio (you'll need an hdmi cable then). There are probably other solutions out there as well. Monoprice is just generally one of my go-to sources for cables.
