ipod Classic 6th generation problem

When am syncing music to my ipod classic, it reaches somewhere and it freezes. After i do a restore and reconnect it to itunes 10, it gives me error 50, and then it displays somewhere that "the ipod can't be synced -the required folder can't be found"

Could the internal hard drive of my ipod be spoilt?? Am worried. Any suggestions
