Two iMacs: 10.7.5 2010 Core i3, 8Gigs RAM, and a 10.7.5 2011 Core i7, 16 Gigs RAM with an SSD
I bought a new MacBook Pro a couple of weeks ago, Core i7, 17". I remember that to add an SSD at the time I configured it online was about $1000 for a 500 or so GB SSD.

I missed the boat and want to do one now. Which 500GB SSD would be the best to put in my MacBook Pro?

Although this is the Notebook Forum, still on-topic, I also have a last generation iMac, Core i3, 21". I would like to also put a 500GB SSD in that one. Which should I pick for that one?:)

Your new MBP has a sata III (6Gb/s) connection so since you are going to be spending more than 1000 dollars on this you should make sure to get a sata III drive. The iMacs connection (I think) is sataII but you could get a sataIII drive so that you could take it with you whenever you upgrade the iMac and have the extra speed then.
