Hey my macbook is pretty old, almost 4 years old actually. I have snowleopard 10.6.7 running.

When I play higher quality videos 720p, 1080p, etc. even if they are downloaded files, they play and then the picture lags for a second every now and then.

What does that mean? Is there a way to fix this issue? It's really annoying.

How much ram do you have and hard disk space

Have you done any TLC to that mac like run disk utililty

Alos sometimes running a combo update can help refresh a tired system

I've got about 38 gigs of hard disk space left out of 150.

I've got 2 gig of ram

I just ran disk utility and updated one of my players, it seems to have helped, but I'm not totally sure yet.

I'll try that combo update thing right now too.

Thanks.

My best advice would be to try to keep the air vents open to maximize air flow. This happens a lot on MacBooks when they get hot.

I'm assuming it's the graphics card and processor combination not being adequate to sustain smooth high definition playback.
