Hello,

I have a 13" Macbook Pro and I have an issue when I try to access certain sites on firefox. When I use basically any font over 14" the text gets bunched together on certain websites. Here is an example. When I view the same page on Chrome, it looks a lot better (see here). I really prefer using firefox over chrome (or any other browser) and I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and knows if there's a setting or add-on to fix this bunching issue. I really appreciate any assistance anyone can give me. Thanks.

What do you have listed as your fonts under Preferences > Content > Fonts & Colors > "Advanced..."?

Agreed with Van, looks like a Font issue. I have seen that when the font size was increased too much.

Thanks for responding. I have

Proportional: Serif Size: 18
Serif: Times
Sans-Serif: Helvetica
Monospace: Courier Size:14
Minimum font size: 14

I also have checked "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above".

Also I have Western (ISO-8859-1) as the default character encoding if that matters.

The font may be "too big", but if I use the same font size in Chrome, I don't have this issue.

For reference, I also have a MBP 13" with FF4, and here are my settings (default):
Proportional: Serif Size: 15
Serif: Times
Sans-Serif: Arial
Monospace: Courier Size:13
Minimum font size: 10

While the size of a font affects how large/small it will be (obviously), different fonts are different sizes. For instance, Courier at 14 may be smaller/larger than Times at 14. Here's an example:

aaaaa (Century Gothic, Courier New, Lucida Sans Unicode, Tahoma, Verdana). Note how each is different in size despite the fact that each font is set to be the same size.

Try changing your fonts on the problematic Mac to match up with those on the Mac that has no issues.
