Desktop icons dissapear on one user account but not the other?

Hey guys, im running an powermac g5 at the moment with 2 user accounts. On one account everything is fine, but when i log into my second account, there is nothing on the desktop showing, or menu bar or dock?? its just the background and nothing else??? can anyone please help!? many thanks

Your Mac's Specs
Mac Mini (Late 2014) 2.6GHz Intel Core i5 Memory: 8GB 1600MHz DDR3
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist

For that account, move the above file out of that folder and Restart.
