OSx - Vista file sharing ?

I have managed to set up file sharing between my macbook running 10.5 and my wife's notebook running Vista home edition. I can open a file from the mac on the windows computer and modify it when I try to save a shared file (back on the mac) I get "Access denied". Indicating that I don't have permissions to save back to the mac. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this?
