Partitioning Harddrive

iMac 2011; 500GB HDD, 2.5 GHz i5, 4GB RAM & OS X 10.7. iPhone 4 Vodafone & iPad 2; 16GB & iOS 4.3.5.
I want to partition my Mac hard drive. I want about 20GB to install Windows as there are a couple of games I want to play that are Windows only.

I have a couple of questions, can I install Windows 7? I have a 2009 MacBook, 120GB HD.

Also, do I install the 32bit version or 64bit version of Windows 7? Assuming the answer to the first question is yes.

I'm just worried that I will mess it up and accidentally mess up the data on my harddrive.
