I'm an Apple service tech at an Authorized Service Provider in eastern Washington. The sticky roller Apple sells as part of its service tools sucks... Using it generates all kind of static and makes cleaning new iMac displays a real pain.

I've googled it, of course, but so far nothing great has come up. So, barring setting up a clean room, does anybody have any recommendations on a good ESD safe or grounded sticky roller?

It may depend on where you're located. In Eastern Washington where it's fairly dry, static builds up quickly. That same roller might work fine in Florida or Hawaii. Can't you use another method of cleaning the displays and screens? Also, are you using anti-static fluid?
