Not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I just bought a game (Portal 2) and my mac won't read the dvd. I put the disk in, the disk spins a few times and about 20-30 seconds later the computer ejects the disk. I don't have any other games I can test it with but movies are read.

hmm, no scratches on the disc? tried it in a different Mac?
alternatively, you can ring Steam Support, and see if they will give you a downloadable version. (This is if you are desperate to play, i have heard good things about Portal 2.)
