macbook pro hardware upgrade Help?

hi,
i have recently bought a macbook pro 13", with a 320gb hdd, was looking in the hand book and it shows u how to upgrade the hdd i want to put a 500gb in it, if i went ahead and upgraded the hard drive my self would i void the apple warranty?

Welcome to the Mac Forums.

This question is asked quite a bit. Changing the hard drive and adding memory to your MBP does not void the warranty. These are considered to be user DIY tasks. However, any damage you do in the process of swapping out the hard drive or memory is not covered by your warranty.
