Hi all,

Is it possible to secure private info, files etc. on an external USB HDD the same as files in your personal user account? i.e. only accessible if logged into the 'owners' user account?

I already have enough HDD's, I was more thinking about file access permissions etc...?

Use Disk Utility to create an encrpyted disk image. Can be on USB or other external as you wish, to open you click and enter password when requested.

EDIT: Alternatively you could use 3rd party software such as Knox (by the same people who make 1Password). I have Knox, but haven't used it yet so can't advise on how good it is
