I want to upgrade a PPC G3 iMac from OS 9.0 to X. The prerequisite for X seems to be a firmware upgrade. I got the necessary .bin for that, but when I try to run it, I get the warning "Stuffit requires CarbonLib 1.0.4" or later.. use original disc." I don't have the original discs. I tried downloading the required CarbonLib but it too is in .bin format and requires StuffIt. Is there another way to get the necessary files installed?
