How to correct stand position

Hello ,

I received my 27" Cinema display today however the stand looks in a weird position.

It currently stands as following

and i can't change position of the monitor at all. Does anyone know how to correct this ?

The monitor should be able to swivel up or down e.g. put your hand on the bottom of the screen and pull towards you. This should bring the bottom of the screen towards you and the top of the screen will go away from you.

That is the problem , if i swivel down it works but if i swivel up it doesn't move at all. It seems to be stuck

That is the problem , if i swivel down it works but if i swivel up it doesn't move at all. It seems to be stuck

Sounds like it's defective. I'd give Apple a call.

It looks like the display and stand aren't completely together.

Call them straight away.

The stand can be removed and re-seated but call them and tell them before you do anything

Did you buy this new or used? If:

- new...definitely contact Apple.
- used (such as Craig's List or e-Bay)...check to see if it's still under warranty...if so...contact Apple.
- used (such as Craig's List or e-Bay)...and not still under warranty...contact the seller about a return
