Aperture 2 import problem

Took some nice pictures of a few flowers today. When I went to put them on the computer I opened up a new project, the pics looked nice but would not import to the new project file. I used my card reader, used the camera, tried different ports on the computer but nothing. I can't save anything to any project.

I am at my wits end. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
