New + Itunes help

First off,

I wouldn't like to jump straight in and ask something so Hello, My name is Chris
From the uk, Have a iPhone4 and iPad also looking to move to iMac later on this month,

Can someone help me with this?
I bought a films off itunes via apple tv. but for some reason its not showing in iTunes so i cant watch it on my phone or pad.

I sold the tv a few weeks back now to fund the pad.
