HI all ! Newbie here :p

So currently I have 400GB Mac Partition and 100GB windows NTFS.

Now I want to create another partition from 400GB. So it should be

100GB Mac HD
100GB Windows NTFS [OS]
300GB New NTFS created from Mac HD

Thanks a lot :)

Is it an internal or external drive? What OS have you got?

You're going to need something like "iPartition" in order to non destructively create another partition from the existing one. It's a bit pricey at $44.95 but well worth the cost.

It is an internal drive. I am on 10.6.6.

But anyways I figured it out myself. All I needed to press that + button :p Mac Noob here ;)

OK, great. Thanks for posting back and hopefully you didn't lose any data in the process. Normally, Disk Utility will work if the drive has plenty of empty space. But keep in mind that if you have lots of data, you'll need intelligent partitioning software. Keep iPartition in mind.

No I didn't lose any data. First googled and got iPartition, but without a bootable DVD it's of no use, did I get right ?

Thanks for replying ben, but I no longer have this problem :)

And he's gone now. That particular company is always trying new ways to get links to their software posted in forums.

??? I personally refuse to use any software whose developers resort to spamming. And as long as they're spamming, their software will not touch one of my machines.

The most highly recommended would probably be Data Rescue 3 and Disk Warrior.
