Well looks like this hasn't been posted yet so here it is, the new iMac range for 2011 has been released today!

They have got new Quad core processors, new 3x more powerful AMD graphics, Thunderebolt and a HD Facetime Camera.
A heck of a lot more info here:

One of the NEW ones. 3.4 GHz i7 and upgraded the GPU to 2GB. Left RAM as stock - but 16GB is incoming from OWC. Took the 2TB internal HDD option - no SSD.

I think I caused some confusion inadvertently in the other thread because I was thinking it would be great if we could overclock these processors since Apple isn't running them anywhere close to what they're capable of. :Blushing: Order went out the night they were available. Still waiting for Apple to give me a shipment notice though... I expedited shipping but think I won't see it until Monday or Tuesday.

I seriously wish I could afford the upgrade. Very nice Brian.

32gb. Crazy.

Not as crazy as you might think. There was a time when a Macintosh with 1 MEGABYTE of ram was considered a lot!;)

The one thing that I've definitely learned messing around with computers for over 25 years is...what's considered "crazy" one year...3-5 years later is considered "normal"...and 10 years later is considered "puny"!;)

Don't be too sad about that, mine is now almost 3 years old and still runs a dream, never upgraded it either, although maybe getting an SSD to place into it soon :)
