Has anyone done this, or does anyone have a brilliant idea about how I might lower the height of a (recent) iMac. I'm weighing up the options of 1) a refurbished Intel iMac or 2) a new Mac Mini plus monitor.
The Mini is leading the contest at present, but the iMac is pushing hard because of its superior performance, built-in camera, etc.
If I can lower an iMac from its height of 469 mm (18.5") to 425 mm (17"), without doing major damage to the stand, it'll fit nicely between the top of the work desk, and the base of the shelf above.
Would someone with a recent iMac please measure and tell me the distance from front to back of its stand base (see attachment), thank you.
