I am thinking about getting Microsoft Office for my Macbook Pro w/ Snow Leopard 10.6.7 but I recently read somewhere that downloading any Microsoft software is the only way a possible virus or spyware could infect my computer. Im new to macs and was just wondering if anyone knows if there is any truth to this statement or also, any info relating to viri, Microsoft software and Macs. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

You may want to read the stickies about Macs/virus/trojan concerns.

But to answer your question you'll be fine buying and using Microsoft Office for Mac.
