Transferring music from old ipod to itunes

Hi, I have an old ipod and want to transfer the music to my macbook and then itunes. It was previously synced with my old computer to which I no longer have access. I did not de-authorise the ipod on my old computer. The music was not purchased on itunes, it contains tracks I copied from CD.
Please advise! I have a huge collection I don't want to lose.
