I have a data plan, its 2G and from midnight to 5am its an extra 2G free. I need software that will monitor the usage during the day and then from 12am count the usage separately. Does anyone know how I can do that? Or any app I can use?

There's a few to look at in addition to what chscaq posted. Take a look at SurplusMeter or NetMonitor. If you do a search in the App Store for network you'll see another one which is pretty cool - but unfortunately - I can't give you the name. I downloaded it last week - and it resides on the menu bar - is very unobtrusive - and easy to setup. I think it cost about $2. When I get back home - if you haven't found it - I'll post the name. Like I said - a search in the app store for 'network' will locate the app. :)

I have been using SurplusMeter that Brian posted the URL for as now AT&T is capping all DSL and even UVerse internet. Works great for me here.
