Ok so here's the deal I have a macbook 2007 gloss screen with a Gma 950 chipset that was running fine 2 hours ago. I installed snow lepoard and that's when the problem started grey moving dots on the left side of the screen theat seem to overlay everything. It's not a lose cable or the screen going out because they don't show until after snow lepoard boots.

Sounds like the installation may have gone awry if your positive that the graphics card isn't to blame. Best thing to try is a PRAM/ NVRAM reset by holding "CMD+ALT+P+R" on boot just after you hear the startup chime and keep them held until you hear it chime again. If this does not work then a re-format and re-install is in order.

Hope this helps
