Widgets

Hi can someone tell me what sort of overhead is there for running a lot of widgets, eg are they using up system resources even when minimized ....
how many widget to most people have active ?

Yes they do use resources. Just look at activity monitor. You'll see they RAM they use even when dashboard is dormant.

Sorry,...I couldn't tell you the average number of widgets used by the tiger mac community.

I use 19 and it takes a little while to load when I hit F12

I use a couple, load time is a split second with F12

12... and it takes a couple seconds to load the first time.
