Hi, I hope someone can help.
Despite having been online wirelessly on my MacBook Pro all morning, I now find that I cannot get online. When I go into system preferences it shows that my airport has no IP address. Then it self-assigns a 169. address, which obviously has no internet access.
This is not a router problem as there are another MacBook Pro, two iPhones and 2 iPads connected in the house with no problem. Even so I have rebooted the modem, reset the modem, turned all the other hardware off etc in order for the airport to assign a usable 192. IP address. All to no avail.
I've looked through loads of forums, tried deleting the airport settings and creating anew. I've tried to connect from a new 'location'. I've tried turning the firewall off and on again. I've tried reassigning the DHCP lease.
When I plug in an ethernet cable, it connects no problem.
Can anyone point me in the direction of anything else to try.
Thanks,
Lee (Miss)
