I was looking at the Sumvision Cyclone Micro 2 Media Player but apparently it only works with Windows flash drives. Is there any media player out there which would work good with mac flash drives and is quite cheap?

???

It works with any USB drive, whether that is a flash drive or an external hard drive, as long as it is formatted as FAT32 (which pretty much all flash drives are) or NTFS.

It requires neither Windows nor OS X.

I don't know what you've done to your flash drive. If you did not format it and just started using it, then it's probably FAT32.

Plug it into your Mac, do a right click and select Get Info on it to find out.

Sounds like you must have formatted it at one point. No worries. Back it up, and reformat it as "MS-DOS" (in other words, FAT32). It will work fine both on PCs and Macs.
