picture dvd does not load

Hi all. Just got a dvd with pictures burned on it from a friend. When I put the dvd into the superdrive, It spins slowly but nothing ever comes up on the screen. The disc was burned on a windows pc. I'm using an Imac ppc G4 OSX 10.4.11

Any ideas?

Did he finalize the DVD? If it isn't finalized and written with a different piece of software than what you have, you wont be able to in most cases.

Deckyon. Not sure what program was used on the other end. I was just wondering if it may be a setting on my imac.

I'll request that he just use a cd rom and drag the jpg files to it for burning. That's what I do so that my photo cd's remain platform independent.
