I have a MB running OS 10.5.8. In sleep mode, my battery goes dead (I mean "0%) overnight if the charge cord has been knocked off. When I look at Console, I get a string of the following system activity records:

Apr 25 03:15:20 new-host com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.smbd[26210]): Exited with exit code: 1
Apr 25 03:15:20 new-host com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.smbd): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
Apr 25 03:15:31 new-host com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.smbd[26212]): Exited with exit code: 1
Apr 25 03:15:31 new-host com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.smbd): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

Something seems to be waking me up every 10 seconds and I suspect this may be keeping my MB from sleeping.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Tod

Samba, or smb, would be Windows file sharing. Is SMB sharing turned on under your Sharing preference pane? If not, have you installed any software that might enable Windows sharing?
