I'm getting sick and tired of this. I have a MacBook Pro 17" mid-2009 and I'm in the HTML5 Beta for Youtube, but it barely helps. I can't watch a video on Youtube for more than a few seconds before my CPU temp skyrockets. Searching the net just gives me old crap from 2004 and an ignored bug report on Adobe's website.

OS: Mac OS X 10.5.8
Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Browser: Firefox 4.0.1 (also tried in the latest version of Safari, made no difference)

Flash does tend to increase the CPU temperature but not that much. Are you using your Mac on a hard, clean surface? Refrain from using your MBP on a soft surface which prevents your Mac from circulating air properly.

Most peoples computers heat up when watching Youtube videos. Just make sure your computer has good ventilation and you should be fine.

Check that your fans are actually working too, that's pretty hot to say the least.

208F is far too hot. Follow the above advice and if it persists take it back to Apple and let them have a look at it.
