Help! My macbook is running fine but it seems to be stuck on the lowest brightness setting. I can barely see whats going on but i do know that it seems to be working like normal otherwise. When I try to turn up the brightness I see it working like normal, except my screen doesn't change from nearly black. When I awake it from sleep it flashes on for a moment but then it's back to black. What can I do?

This almost sounds like an Inverter going out. Just a guess, but seen is many times. Either the inverter or the Backlight dying.

Agree with dtravis7. I've seen the same thing a number of times and it's almost always either the inverter board or the backlight itself. If it turns out to be the backlight, you may be better off replacing the entire display as the backlight change out is a difficult task.

Alright weird, so I didn't touch it for a day and a half and today I was going to try to reset the pram. I turned the computer off and then on again without pressing anything else and this time it worked. Back to normal for now
