Did you use Bootcamp to partition the hard drive? Did you then let it reboot with the Windows 7 DVD in the drive?

What Windows 7 DVD is this? System Builders? Full install? Upgrade?

And a copied disc will not work. Needs to be genuine Windows 7 disc, and not previously activated. OEM discs from manufacturers such as Dell, HP etc are also out.

Ok that should work. Do not press Alt. You go into bootcamp and make the partition and have the Win 7 DVD in the drive. You tell Bootcamp to go ahead and it should shut down osx and eventually boot from the Windows 7 DVD. It might take a bit for the boot to start. If you do get it to get to the installer, let us know.
