I looked very closely at the article. What it did not say is are you LOCKED to the cloud and can't keep any iTunes music on your computer? If that is the case, I will not use it. It would be nice to have it as an option but not the only way. EVERY decent ISP here has a CAP now. My DSL got capped at 150GB per month. Just watching a few fair quality movies and my normal internet usage has me close to the Cap. If I streamed all my music forget it. I can't afford the extra they will charge me for going over. Cable here is 2x more expensive and still has a Cap.

I hope they still allow getting and storing of the music on the device locally.

Interesting bit at the end about the App Store being down yesterday.
I like the idea of cloud storage freeing up space on my iPhone or iPad but not crazy about relying on getting an internet connection to access my music. Data plans are not cheap either and I would have to see a very affordable unlimited data plan to support this.

Odd. I had no trouble downloading some app updates on my iPad and iPhone yesterday. And I just updated an app in the Mac App Store this very minute. Isn't effecting me for some reason.

It was a world wide outage yesterday. When you tried it was probably back online.
