A file that stores a detailed history of the approximate location an iPhone or 3G-equipped iPad has been is a result of a bug in the iOS operating system, and could be addressed by Apple in the next iOS update, according to a new report.
I don't know if I would call it a bug exactly, if it is a script that records and stores particular information, then moves it to your itunes program. And will move that data to other "i" type products.
If it is a bug, it is one very specific well written bug
Wonder if somone will dig into itunes to see if maybe itunes sends the information along somewhere other than another iproduct.
I find it amusing that the dimwits in the media are making a big deal out of the iPhone having a database of geographical information based on cell phone towers that EVERY phone collects (just doesn't consolidate into one database). "Oh no! If someone steals your phone, they can see where you've been sort of! That's MUCH scarier than, you know, them having the emails, contacts list and text messages on the phone!"
