Ok

My MacBook Pro is VERY slow after I tried to partition it using Bootcamp. I had to Force Quit the application during the process, and now, everything on my mac feels like it is moving in SLOW motion. (Typing this message took forever as my computer froze!)

I've tried restarting, I have 175GB free hard drive space, 4GB RAM, and only Chrome and iTunes open as applications!

Any help of troubleshooting would be helpful!

Thanks!

It sounds like you're having problems with the hard drive in that machine if everything is slow and you had to force quit Boot Camp. Do you have your original install disks? Boot the machine with the install DVD and use Disk Utility on the DVD to verify and repair the hard drive. Let us know if you have any difficulty running the verify and repair.

that seems to have done the trick! It took about 20 minutes, and a few attempts, but everything is MUCH faster now! Thanks SOOOOO much!

Glad to hear it helped. One more bit of advice: Start making backups if you have not already done so. Use Time Machine and an external hard drive.
