is it bad to charge and use the MBP at the same time?

just a quick question! recently got new 13" MBP and was wondering if charging and using the laptop is better or let it charge to 100% and then use it until battery drops to around 20%. then charge back upto 100%.

Using your notebook computer while it's charging is totally ok...in fact...it's very normal.

Nope. Your laptop is going to get warm/hot whether you're charging it or not.

I'm sensing that you're not very familiar with laptop computers...and maybe more specifically Apple laptop computers. But my advice is...you should almost always be using your laptop computer plugged in if there's an electrical outlet nearby...and only running off the battery when you are "mobile"...with no electrical outlets to plug into.

If you're constantly using your laptop on battery power (especially when it's not necessary)...you're going to wear out your battery much faster (more battery cycles in a shorter amount of time). Here's some additional info:

My laptop is plugged in all the time. The only time I unplug it is when I drain the battery once a month.

Yeah it's fine. It's just like any computer.. enjoy your new MBP.
