Hi All

I have created a vpn connection on my imac which connects and authenticates to the works server no problem.

The issue is with the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client for Mac, i type the ip address of the server in, and it just wont connect.

The PC's i have connect fine, just the imac, or more specifically the Microsoft RDC.

Has anyone come across this problem before, and hopefully a solution.

Nope, keep getting request time out, the server has given me a correct ip address for the internal lan 192.168.0.6, but cant ping the server on 192.168.0.2, message says host is down, even though the vpn is connected, still have it showing on my menu bar with length of time connected ticking away.

Could the issue be my own network has the range 192.168.0.x, although this doesnt affect the pc's only the mac, got me puzzled

What VPN are you using? I have found with certain Cisco VPNs - if you are in the range of IP addresses - that the VPN is connecting to - then you may have trouble. Exactly as you say - I had something like 192.168.0 and what I was connecting to was that same range - I had all kinds of trouble connecting to VPN resources. I finally switched my home network to something different and everything started working.

If you are using DHCP anyway - it should be easy to flip to some other C class range to try it out.
