Recently upgraded to Snow Leopard with minimal difficulty. I was printing on a Canon MP250 (though the printer wasn't printing well--kept looking like it was out of ink when it wasn't. I didn't pay much attention since I was planning to disconnect that printer anyway and hook up my Canon MP970).

Just attached my Canon MP970 which had been put away after a move and chose it as my default printer in System Preferences. Tried to print a test page without success. The message is:

System/Library/Printers/Libraries/PrintJobMgr/Contents/MacOS/PrintJobMgr failed

Can someone tell me what this means and how to get the printer running properly?!
Thanks!!

Try this:

1. Disconnect the printer (unplug the USB cable)
2. Go into System Preferences => Print & Fax
3. Find the printer in the list, click to select it and click the '-' button
4. Go to Canon's website and get the latest driver here:
Canon U.S.A. : Support & Drivers : PIXMA MP970
5. Install the driver. When finished, plug the printer back in.

See if that does the trick.
