Hi People,

Here's my problem, I know a little about Photoshop but i'm not expect. I am hoping to make an icon with a transparent background, which I'm able to do no problem.
So, I then save as png, click preview and no background. So, then I go to change the dock icon for it, but when it's changed and in the dock, it has a white border round, as per the screenshot below.

open it up with preview, drag a box round it, cmd + v, then hit cmd i on the app you want to change the icon for, click on the top left icon in the inspector window, hit cmd + v.

(if it beeps at you, you need to authorise it first, click the lock in bottom right, enter password, then change settings for everyone to read/write, paste icon, and then change permissions back.)

i like your wallpaper, by the way! :p

If you run into any problems, use Pic2Icon to give your png a icon of itself, so you can Cmd+I open the inspector window, click on the icon in the top left, cmd+c, and then paste like robduckyworth told you.
