Will Windows catch a virus surfing with Safari? Help Please

Ok, heres my situation I want to play this game(Total War Shogun 2), but was only designed and developed to run using Windows. Im worried about partitioning my hard drive to run Windows because of viruses obviously.

Question: Say I were to ONLY use the os X partition to send and receive emails and surf the web, and use the os Windows 7 partition with no anti virus protection to exclusively ONLY play the game. Would the os Windows 7 partition be able to catch a virus from the os X partition?

I,ve heard that Macs can harbor viruses, not being affected by them, still pass them on to Windows users. Is this correct? And would that play a role in my above question?

Any help is much appreciated, thank you.

No viruses will affect the other partition on your machine!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is MSE and A/V the abbreviation for? Please elaborate on your reply. Any help is much appreciated. Once again, sorry if that was a stupid question. I'm not the most computer savvy person you'll meet.

If I do install Win 7. Which one is better for gaming and over all performance, the 32 BIT version or the 64 BIT version? What do those numbers even mean? I think I've heard that one or the other version has given problems on other peoples macs, slowing them down and such. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks

If you install Windows 7, it's best to install the 64 bit version as it can address all your memory. The 32 bit version of Windows 7 like all other 32 bit operating systems, can only address approximately 3.3 GB of memory.
