MagicWand and BookArc

Has anyone tried either product from Twelve South? I use my MacBook Air as a desktop from home and was looking into these. Twelve South says the arc won't work with cases but I have the speck 1.2mm case so I think it should work.

Can anyone give any thoughts about this, thanks.

The arc will NOT work with a Speck case. It is designed for a naked macbook.

I guess I could take the case off while home and put back on when I travel.
